New
Construction and Building Green.
Looking at what is going on is the area of New Construction we are finding trends that already have been rules in many other countries.
Green Building has been the norm in the European countries for years. Now here in the US the builder associations are now working on a Green Builders Certification. This will ensure that any builder who is with the Builders association and claims to build green should carry this certification.
There are many websites and books out about building green (energy efficient ) but the quickest way to start is to contact your local builder association. They have already compiled information about building green and what the criteria are for a builder or a company to call its products green or energy efficient.
One example is the National Green Building Standard™that is being developed at this time.
The NAHB has also published a Green Home Building Guidelines for builder members to use.
During a Announcement the Building Green, Inc had announced the top 10 green building products for 2006 and you can see a list of the materials when you follow the link to Building Green, Inc
You also can find more information about green building at the U.S. Green Building Council website and at the EPA website.
